Buckingham Palace announced the news of of the birth, and a few days later, Mike, a proud papa, shared his newborn's name via Twitter.

Mia is Zara and Mike's first child. She's also Princess Anne's third grandchild, and is the fourth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth. She stole the show in 2016 in a portrait released in honor of the Queen's 90th birthday when she held the monarch's purse. “She just did it,” a source at the palace told People at the time. “She just picked it up—it wasn't staged. It was completely spontaneous.”

She has two younger siblings.

In June 2018, Mike and Zara Tindall welcomed Lena Elizabeth Tindall, making Mia a big sister. Mia was spotted with her parents and her younger sister for the first time at the Gatcombe Horse Trials in September 2018.

March 2021, Mia became a big sister once again when her mom gave birth to a baby boy named Lucas Philip Tindall. "Sunday got even better because a little baby boy arrived at my house," Mia's father Mike shared on a podcast, saying that his son arrived at 6 p.m. "Arrived very quickly. Didn’t make it to hospital. On the bathroom floor," he said, candidly.

Mia and her siblings were spotted at the Burnham Market International Horse Trials in Norfolk in April 2022, where their mom, Zara, was competing.

(More on the patriarchal way in which royal titles are passed on here.) Since neither her mother nor her father have a royal rank, Mia does not have one either.

Mia played a role in Princess Eugenie's royal wedding.

According to her dad, Mike, she loves horse riding with her cousins Savannah and Isla. "I love that they have the opportunity of working with animals, being outside, all the traditions that you learn with treating an animal - looking after your stuff, looking after the animals and learning good balance, all those skills you learn - but I think Mia will probably want to do her own thing anyway," Mike said.

She also loves to swim. Zara shared of traveling to Australia, "Mia loves swimming. Of course, the climate allows you to be able to go swimming all day every day. When we first took her to Australia she was 11 months old; we kickstarted her love of water."
