Vaporu is the largest of his siblings, but quite the gentle giant. He is calm and affectionate, and ready with kisses for the slightest bit of attention you can offer. Vaporu insists that he absolutely fits in your lap for cuddles. (He doesnt, but we dont mind one bit.) This mellow fellow is very expressive and always seems to wearing a slight smile he has such a sunny attitude and is very patient and pliable (in case you have to manhandle him out of your lap so you can get up, for instance).
Vaporu is the kind of puppy that makes you look twice he has a distinctive brindle coat that is stunning to see in the sunlight. Hes a beautiful medley of brown and gold, with a white patch down his chest, and a tiny hint of white on his chin. The only thing cuter than his adorable chocolate brown nose are his striking blue-green eyes he is definitely a most distinguished gentleman. You are sure to get lots of compliments on this handsome fellow!
Vaporu is almost 3 months old and about 20-25 pounds, and we think he may be a German Shepherd/Catahoula/Cur mix, but with rescue its always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place.
Vaporu is still young, so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood.

Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport.
Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $800.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.
