About The RoleAs Scientific Team Leader of the Health Science division, your primary responsibility is to lead a team of scientists and researchers in driving innovation and developing new scientific knowledge, products, or technologies aligned with AAK's objectives.

As a senior or principal scientist, you’ll be a key player in leading research projects. You'll oversee the strategic direction, manage resources effectively, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Scientific Team Leader your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Leading a small team of Health Science experts, focusing on the health effects of plant-based lipids.
• Demonstrating effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
• Design and manage pre-clinical and clinical studies, exploring the impact of lipids or lipid concepts on human health throughout life.
• Exhibiting adaptability and resilience to navigate the dynamic landscape of corporate R&D.
• Ability to strategize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior scientists and research associates.
• Initiating and leading collaborations with external partnerships to broaden scientific understanding, and leveraging with external R&D partners such as research institutes and academia.
• Playing a key role in securing research funding and maintaining relationships with funding agencies.
• Managing IP and developing strategies to protect and leverage intellectual assets.
• Ensuring the seamless connection between scientific advancements and business objectives within the AAK project team, working alongside a customer innovation manager, and commercial product manager.

About YouTo be successful in the role you need:

• Experience as a Team Lead
• Advanced degree in a relevant field (Ph.D. or equivalent) coupled with demonstrated experience in research and development.
• Proven track record in leadership and project management within a corporate R&D environment.
• Strategic thinking, ability to identify market opportunities, and drive innovation initiatives.
• Ensure the alignment of the research projects with the company's overall mission and objectives.
• Collaborate with business development teams to identify research opportunities that align with market needs.
• Fluent in writing and spoken English.
