You Will Be Responsible For

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll processing function, including reviewing, and verifying payroll data and ensuring accuracy of employee payroll information.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Develop and implement payroll procedures, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
• Report risks, issues and discrepancies in good time and working to find resolutions.
• Train and supervise payroll team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about payroll processes and procedures.
• Assist with improvements, integrations, and automations, assist on queries from internal team members and collaborate on ad hoc projects.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
• Work closely with the Global Payroll Manager to identify, implement and develop the payroll process improvements and standard methodologies, driving improved customer service levels and eliminating unnecessary payroll errors.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll data and processing.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees and respond to payroll inquiries and issues via an internal case management system in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with year-end reporting, audits and ad- hoc project work.

Experience

• Professional payroll qualification, degree, or professional accounting qualification, with proven track record
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• International payroll processing experience for the UK and European countries is a must.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Experience in processing EMEA stock payroll, RSU and Stock options as well as benefits and pension administration.
• Knowledge of payroll and related HR/Accounting systems; Cloudpay and Workday is preferred, and proficient in a solid payroll system understanding for trouble shooting and resolution of issues will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles; knowledge and experience with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience in the documentation of payroll processes, assisting on audits and ensuring year end reporting tasks are completed within deadlines.

Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support.
