As the dust starts settling on NFL coaching cuts, the league's workforce is also streamlining. The NFL is offering buyouts to at least 200 employees, Sports Business Journal reported, citing anonymous sources. They said "tenured" workers across departments were e-mailed exit offers that included three weeks salary for every year, plus bonuses; those workers have until late February to accept their offer. In a memo, the NFL said it's trying to "enhance efficiency and improve outcomes," though revenue has kept growing to nearly $12 billion in 2022, CNBC reported, citing a memo. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he wants to hit $25 billion in annual revenue by 2027.

Even a multi-billion sports league like the NFL is not exempt from the pressures to stay lean and agile. Despite record revenues and valuations, the NFL league office is offering buyouts to more than 200 of its 1,100 employees. Staffers will have until the end of February to decide. The NFL says they must evolve to best position the league for continued success. https://lnkd.in/eH8kX2wT

This insightful article delves into the NFL's ongoing challenges with diversity initiatives, drawing parallels to corporate America. Despite initiatives like the Rooney Rule, which mandates teams to interview at least one person of color for head coach and general manager positions, the NFL continues to face obstacles in diversifying coaching and executive roles. These struggles reflect broader issues in corporate America, where similar diversity initiatives have been criticized for lacking accountability and incentives. The article presents data indicating a decline in corporate commitment to diverse hiring practices, emphasizing that tying incentives or penalties to diverse slates yields better results in senior leadership positions. Despite efforts, the Rooney Rule alone is considered insufficient, underscoring the necessity for continuous and comprehensive diversity strategies.#DiversityAndInclusion #WorkplaceDiversity #InclusiveLeadership #HRInsights #InclusiveWorkplace #HRChallenges #employeeengagement

***WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE HARBAUGH OR PIERCE***Longtime NFL fan here and I gotta tell ya, the choice between Antonio Pierce and Jim Harbaugh is interesting to say the least. One is a lifelong Raider went 5-4 and saved face for the Raiders this year. If they hire Harbaugh they'd most likely have to let Pierce go, the locker room would be split. Who would you hire? The longtime Raider who has the heart of the team or the proven Superbowl losing coach who got there with Colin Kaepernick which is very impressive considering what a train wreck that guy is.You can't turn down a Harbaugh, can you? Harbaughs are born to coach.#nfl #cannabis #cannabisindustry #marijuana #marijuanaindustry
