Roydell Williams didn't get much time to shine at Alabama, but our college football parlay picks like him to shine in his Florida State debut.

We’re back in business this weekend, as the NCAAF season begins with the abbreviated Week 0. But even with only a few games on tap, there’s still plenty of room for college football parlay picks.
The Florida State Seminoles are looking to play for a national championship this year, and show off their new offensive weapons on Saturday in Ireland against Georgia Tech.
Other than that, the college football odds don’t expect many of this weekend’s games to be close, but there are clear sides to take on some of these potential blowouts.
I’ll be taking a closer look at our limited options and make some parlays below in my free college football picks for Week 0.

Week 0 doesn’t have many competitive games, but the oddsmakers think that the matchup between the Florida State Seminoles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets should at least be a game. Florida State is an early favorite to get a Top-4 seed in the College Football Playoff, while Georgia Tech is looking to build on a 7-6 season and see continued improvement under head coach Brent Key.
The big problem for the Yellow Jackets is on the defensive end, where they haven’t been good in years and have a lot of new names taking up key positions heading into the season.
That should give transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei a nice soft landing spot on Saturday, as he gets to settle in behind a strong and fresh offensive line that shouldn’t be challenged in its first game of the season. I expect Florida State to win by multiple touchdowns and easily cover.
To go along with that pick, I’m looking at two games with huge spreads. While neither of these games is rife for an upset, I do think at least one of the underdogs will cover the spread.
The Nevada Wolf Pack have been down lately, going just 4-20 in their last two seasons. The school is attempting to turn things around under new coach Jeff Choate, but he’ll have a tough time sticking with an SMU Mustangs team that will be playing its first game as an ACC team.
SMU went 11-3 and dominated its AAC schedule last year, and should handle the likes of Nevada, which lost three games by more than 24 points last year — including one against the Idaho Vandals, an FCS team. I expect the Mustangs to get off the ground running on Saturday.
On the other hand, I think the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will be hard-pressed to cover a massive 40-point spread against the Delaware State Hornets. It’s not that Hawaii won’t be able to win: it’ll have little trouble holding off a team that went 1-10 at the FCS level last year.
But the Rainbow Warriors haven’t won a game by 40+ points since a 54-3 throttling of Nevada back in 2019. This line started much smaller, but jumped nearly two touchdowns after Delaware State initially missed its flight to Honolulu on Tuesday.
The team will get there with its full staff and roster of players, however, meaning the huge adjustment in the line — for a game that doesn’t take place until late Saturday — is unwarranted. Take the haul of points.

Let’s head back to Aviva Stadium in Ireland for my same-game parlay, where we’ll look at some picks that should go along with our expectations for Florida State.
We’re already taking the Seminoles to cover. I’m going to pair that with the Over, as I expect Florida State to run rampant over the inexperienced Georgia Tech defense. Even the Yellow Jackets coaching staff isn’t exactly talking up their defensive unit, while they do return enough offensive talent to help push the total above 55.5 points.
But the Seminoles will do most of the scoring, and I’m going to rely on running back Roydell Williams to carry our SGP home. Williams showed plenty of potential at Alabama, but never served as the primary running threat for the Crimson Tide in four seasons.
Now a senior, he’ll be the No. 1 option for Florida State, after scoring six touchdowns and running for 560 yards in limited run for Alabama last year. Let’s bet on the experienced and talented Williams to score in his debut for Florida State.
