Ammons was arrested in January 2022 in connection with the Dec. 25, 2021 pipe bomb explosion that blew apart a drive-up ATM kiosk at a branch of the Enterprise Bank of South Carolina on Edisto Island that morning.
To generate public help in capturing the culprit, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office released surveillance from the bank branch that showed the suspected culprit wearing a wig of long, black hair and a camouflage hunting jacket.
He was also carrying a pink backpack decorated with flowers.
