Dr. Jackie Schleifer Taylor, President and CEO

As LHSC’s President and CEO, Dr. Jackie Schleifer Taylor leads one of Canada’s largest acute-care and research-intensive teaching hospitals.

With more than 25 years of experience in health sector leadership, Dr. Schleifer Taylor has shown an unwavering commitment to interdisciplinary care, quality, equity and accountability. She is a registered physiotherapist who is deeply rooted in her clinical and academic background, and has a proven track record in system innovation and strategy execution.

Dr. Schleifer Taylor has served on the boards of service provider organizations, government advisory committees and international think tanks. She holds a Certified Health Executive designation and has held appointments at several academic institutions. She is a passionate advocate for progressing patient care with an inspiring vision for both LHSC and the provincial health system.

Dr. Kevin Chan, Corporate Medical Executive

As LHSC's Corporate Medical Executive, Dr. Kevin Chan works with physicians and program leaders to advance care delivery and promote a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability. Dr. Chan works closely with LHSC's Executive Leadership Team to ensure that the organization maintains a trailblazing physician workforce that is passionate about advancing excellence in patient care, teaching and research.

With more than 20 years of experience as a distinguished paediatric emergency physician, researcher, and leader, Dr. Chan is passionate about training the next generation of health care professionals. His expertise lies in driving positive change by harnessing the passion of health care professionals to ideate innovations that best serve the community.

Jatinder Bains, Corporate Academic Executive

As LHSC’s Corporate Academic Executive, Jatinder leads the creation and execution of a comprehensive academic strategy that fortifies our mission as one of Canada’s largest teaching hospitals. He works collaboratively with the executive team to integrate our educational mandate across LHSC. His priorities include growing affiliation agreements with world-class academic institutions and fostering an inclusive learning culture.

Jatinder is a transformational leader who is motivated to innovate the delivery of health care, utilize best practices and build partnerships to enhance patient outcomes.

Dr. Alex Barron, Chair, Medical Advisory Committee and Director, Quality of Medical Care

As Chair, Medical Advisory Committee and Director, Quality of Medical Care, Dr. Alex Barron leads LHSC’s Medical Advisory Committee and its subcommittees. He collaborates across LHSC to develop, implement and monitor its corporate quality and patient safety strategy, ensuring Team LHSC is empowered to transform the patient experience through clinical service planning, research and teaching.

With more than 25 years of patient-centered clinical experience and medical leadership, Dr. Barron has a wealth of global expertise in advancing health care and wellness. He is known as a collaborative and inspiring leader with a passion for health equity and inclusion.

Brad Campbell, Corporate Hospital Administrative Executive

As LHSC’s Corporate Hospital Administrative Executive, Brad has responsibility for progressing care, teaching and research across LHSC by providing counsel to the Presidents of Victoria, University and Children’s hospitals. He collaborates across the organization to foster an environment of service excellence and best practice, while maintaining operational efficiencies and fostering productive working relationships with a wide variety of provincial, national and international partners.

With more than 30 years of results-driven health system leadership, Brad is well-versed in harnessing the passion and energy of LHSC’s mission. He is passionate about making a difference for the communities we serve.

Jillian Cook, Controller/Deputy CFO

As LHSC’s Controller/Deputy CFO, Jillian is responsible for financial management in alignment with LHSC’s strategic and operational goals. She works collaboratively with the Corporate Services Executive/CFO and the executive team to ensure the best use of hospital resources in support of the patients, families and communities we serve.

Jillian has been leading for more than 15 years as part of Team LHSC. She is a CPA, CA and strategic leader who creates tangible results by combining financial acumen with a passion for fostering positive change.

As LHSC’s Corporate Health Disciplines Executive, CJ works collaboratively across LHSC to develop and sustain an organization-wide vision for the professional practice of 22 health disciplines (regulated and unregulated) – one that emphasizes the highest quality patient and family-centred care.

While supporting and collaborating with professionals across various disciplines, CJ fosters an environment of ongoing learning and continuous quality improvement. Regarded by colleagues as a builder of strategic partnerships, CJ is driven by evidence and best practices to generate results that benefit patients, families, staff and physicians.

With more than 18 years of academic health leadership experience, CJ is recognized as a strategic planner and innovation champion who collaboratively leads teams to advance patient care.

John French, Clinical Diagnostics Executive

As Clinical Diagnostics Executive, John leads Medical Imaging and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PaLM) at LHSC.

John has a strong vision for the future of health care and he is a firm believer that better outcomes and value can be achieved through delivering comprehensive, integrated and coordinated diagnostic services.

John has more than 17 years of progressive leadership experience and has proven himself to be a change agent for improving health care delivery and results.

Dr. David Hill, Vice President, Research

As Integrated Vice President, Research, Dr. David Hill leads the research missions of LHSC and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. This is done through his appointment as Scientific Director for Lawson Health Research Institute – the research institute of LHSC and St. Joseph’s.

Dr. Hill is responsible for advancing all clinical research and scientific activities at LHSC. He serves as a key link to strengthen LHSC and Lawson’s research mission in the context of London’s rich academic partnerships, including through collaboration with Western University.

An active scientist himself, Dr. Hill brings decades of innovative leadership to this position.

Heather Lokko, Corporate Nursing Executive

As Corporate Nursing Executive, Heather is responsible for supporting nurses at LHSC in their critical work of care, teaching and research. She works collaboratively across the organization to advance nursing professional practice, ensuring nursing teams are consulted and engaged in organizational initiatives and decision-making. Heather also leads LHSC’s Office of Health Ethics, a key resource for addressing ethical issues that arise in patient care, health care management and research.

With a combination of frontline, consultant and leadership experience, Heather is known as a collaborative innovator in our health system. She is committed to health care excellence with focused expertise in the areas of health equity, evidence-informed decision making and leadership.

Julia Marchesan, Human Resources and Workforce Wellness Executive

As LHSC’s Human Resources and Workforce Wellness Executive, Julia oversees strategies to strengthen the organization by empowering current staff, leading a comprehensive workforce wellness strategy and recruiting new team members. She works to maintain strong union partnerships and enables an inclusive and safe working environment for all.

A clinician by training, Julia offers more than 13 years of clinical, academic and executive leadership experience to this role. She brings a positive and values-based energy each and every day to Team LHSC.

Andrew Mes, Digital Health Executive and Corporate Information Officer

As the Digital Health Executive and Corporate Information Officer, Andrew is responsible for collaboratively setting the digital roadmap for the organization, and actively engages with our regional partners to ensure alignment on strategy. Andrew leads a large team that includes staff and leaders that have both technical and clinical backgrounds, tasked with the implementation and maintenance of technology that supports our clinicians, advances care for our patients, and supports our academic mission.

Andrew has been a leader with LHSC for more than 14 years, having held positions in support services, clinical departments and information technology. He is a Certified Health Executive through the Canadian College of Health Leaders and has been active with the college for more than 10 years. Andrew lives LHSC’s academic mission by sharing his expertise through teaching opportunities.

Abhi Mukherjee, Corporate Services Executive/CFO

As Corporate Services Executive/CFO, Abhi maintains effective services and responsible financial management while ensuring alignment to LHSC’s strategic planning and operational goals. He leads projects that identify new funding opportunities, advance operational improvements and progress financial health.

Abhi believes in partnering to serve patients and he takes pride in building relationships of trust across Team LHSC. He collaborates with his colleagues to build and strengthen cultures grounded on compassion, acceptance and understanding.

With more than 30 years of progressive experience, including leadership at other research-intensive teaching hospitals, Abhi brings a wealth of knowledge and financial acumen to LHSC.

Dipesh Patel, Capital Redevelopment and Environmental Operations Executive

As LHSC’s Capital Redevelopment and Environmental Operations Executive, Dipesh leads the vital work of managing redevelopment, facilities management and support services teams. This includes leading LHSC’s Master Planning work to reimagine, redesign and redevelop the future of health care in London; advancing critical infrastructure objectives; and ensuring our equipment meets the needs of the community. This is accomplished through Dipesh’s application of business insights into areas like service planning, environmental sustainability and innovative digital solutions.

As a registered architect with a specialty in health care architecture, Dipesh has always fostered a strong team approach, leading projects with optimism and collaboration throughout his 25-year career in health care management.

Jerry Plastino, Ambulatory Care and Pharmacy Executive

As LHSC’s Ambulatory Care and Pharmacy Executive, Jerry leads the delivery of quality ambulatory care, renal and pharmacy services. In this role, he works collaboratively with the executive team to progress care in an increasingly multidimensional health system. Jerry has served on several provincial and national committees where he has worked to identify opportunities for improvement, prioritize stakeholder engagement and create shared understanding.

Jerry brings more than a decade of progressive leadership experience and has been creating positive change at LHSC since 2017.

Tammy Quigley, System Innovation and Business Development Executive

As System Innovation and Business Development Executive, Tammy ensures that Team LHSC is empowered to continuously improve care, teaching and research, resulting in enhanced patient experiences. Tammy works with staff and physicians to embed innovation, quality improvement and patient safety across the organization. She harnesses the curiosity of Team LHSC to advance research and ensures leading educational opportunities are in place for the next generation of health professionals. A key accountability of her role is fostering strategic and tactical partnerships that advance the health system for patients and families.

With more than 20 years of health care leadership experience, Tammy is skilled in engaging patients, families, staff and physicians in transformation initiatives. She is consistently energized by the possibilities for improving our health system.

Sandra Smith, Capacity Management Executive and RVP, SWRCP (Cancer Care Ontario)

As Capacity Management Executive at LHSC and Regional Vice President of South West Regional Cancer Program (Cancer Care Ontario), Sandra’s work is focused on making the care we provide the most supportive, efficient and value-based it can be in support of our patients, community, region and provincial priorities.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in health care, Sandra is known as a results-oriented change broker who uses a data-driven approach to identify and address financial, strategic and performance priorities. Her dual roles centre on overseeing patient access and flow across all of LHSC’s hospital sites, all perioperative services at LHSC and ensuring the continued delivery of world-class care through the London Regional Cancer Program.

Sandra looks forward to continuing to implement positive change within LHSC to ensure our patients, team members and the greater community receive the support they need.

Nash Syed, President, Children's Hospital

As President, Children’s Hospital, Nash works to strengthen the identity and position of Children’s Hospital as one of only four acute tertiary care paediatric hospitals in Ontario delivering perinatal, newborn, child and youth care, while also solidifying LHSC’s role in obstetrical and gynecological care. He works with clinicians, staff and leaders within Children’s Hospital to progress our mission of care, teaching, research and system leadership.

Nash brings more than 25 years of experience in health care leadership to this role. Through collaborative and performance-driven leadership, he is committed to supporting team cultures and building capacity to lead change for those we serve.

Cathy Vandersluis, President, University Hospital

As President, University Hospital, Cathy provides administrative and clinical support for staff while working collaboratively with executive and physician leaders to strengthen LHSC’s mission of care, teaching and research. Her leadership focus is on building on University Hospital’s legacy as a renowned centre for neurosciences, stroke, transplant, cardiac care, and other tertiary and secondary services.

Cathy’s collaborative approach and self-aware leadership style are the epitome of LHSC’s core values. She has been described by colleagues as ‘the heart and soul of what LHSC is driving toward.

An occupational therapist by training, Cathy continuously demonstrates her commitment to our patients, community and LHSC staff and physicians through a leadership career that spans 21 years.

Greg Webster, Deputy Corporate Planning Officer

As LHSC’s Deputy Corporate Planning Officer, Greg is responsible for integrated corporate planning that enables evidence-based decisions in service of our mission. Collaborating across the organization, he ensures all corporate planning is aligned to LHSC’s Strategic and Master plans, provides the greatest long-term value, and supports the needs of Team LHSC and our ability to provide the highest quality of care.

Greg is a true innovator who combines data, analytics and collaboration to advance health system goals. He brings more than 25 years of leadership in the health care sector to this executive position.

Deborah Wiseman, President, Victoria Hospital

As President, Victoria Hospital, Deborah leads LHSC in the context of an increasingly multidimensional and evolving health system with a focus on building on Victoria Hospital’s legacy as a provincial trauma centre, regional cancer care centre and provider of other tertiary and secondary services. She supports frontline teams while working collaboratively with executive and physician leaders to strengthen our mission of care, teaching and research.

A registered nurse (RN) with more than 20 years of leadership experience, Deborah specializes in operational and strategic improvement, and harnessing innovation and relationships to generate results. With a passion for health equity and system transformation, Deborah is a champion for academic pursuits, evidence-based practice and quality care initiatives.

As LHSC's Communications and Public Engagement Executive, Tania Testa plays an essential role in elevating the organization’s profile locally, nationally and internationally. In collaboration with her team, she drives strategic communications in support of advancing LHSC’s vision to transform health, together.

With a robust career spanning over 20 years, Tania has demonstrated a passion for utilizing communication as a tool to educate, inspire, and empower communities and businesses. Her expertise lies in providing strategic direction to the organization's communication and public engagement initiatives and in developing collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, and the broader community.
