Ingredients needed to assemble your easy vegan charcuterie board

  • Grapes. I feel like if you don’t have grapes, it’s not a charcuterie board. They have become a staple fruit to add to a grazing board in my opinion, and I love adding them to it! You can choose the grape of your choice to add, or omit it if you prefer!
  • Kiwi. I absolutely love adding kiwis to my board and cutting them in an aesthetic way because it really elevates the board and makes it look extra fancy.
  • Nuts. You can add any nuts you’d like to your board, but for this I used pistachios and walnuts. In the past I’ve used almonds, walnuts, and cashews.
  • Vegan Cheese. Vegan cheese is also a must-have in your board! I use a mix of different flavoured cheese such as cheddar, mozzarella, and provolone. You can use whatever you have/prefer!
  • Hummus. This is perfect to add to a small ramekin and place on your board. I love using it to dip any crackers or pita bread! Making my Creamy Vegan Avocado Hummus would also be a perfect addition to this board!
  • Vegan Cream Cheese. I think adding a vegan cream cheese spread really adds a unique element to the charcuterie board and makes it fun for everyone to enjoy! I used the Boursin dairy free garlic and herb spread and it is absolutely delicious! You wouldn’t even know it’s dairy-free!
  • Crackers, Pita bread, and breadsticks. For the bread element of this charcuterie board, I used a mix of products from Toufayan Bakeries. Specifically, I used their:

Tips on assembling your vegan charcuterie board

  • Start by placing your bowls first. I like to place the dips or anything in small ramekins on my board first. They take up the most space and it’s important to space them out so that they are evenly distributed on the board. I placed mine on the far end, making a triangular shape so it balances out the board.
  • Make your items flow. After I place my bowls, I like to put my grapes. I make them flow into a straight or somewhat curved line around my bowl. This helps to give direction and guidance to the grapes, and also helps you mentally divide your board so you can visualize what to place down next.
  • Don’t be afraid to stack and fill your board! For example, I layered some cheese I cut into a pumpkin shape with a cookie cutter over my pitas. This adds some layers to your board and entices whoever is eating it to maybe try to layer the cheese onto the pita! It also helps to make your board look full. No one wants a board with gaps, so be sure to fill any little spaces as much as you can! My pro tip is to add some nuts or dried fruits in the nooks and crannies of your board so it looks beautiful and full!

Can I store this vegan grazing board?

If you will be assembling this board in the morning and serving it later in the evening, I would suggest storing it in the fridge and covering it. This board does not take too long to assemble, so you can cut and prep all your ingredients, then make it 20-30 minutes before serving.

If you’d like to save whatever is left from your vegan grazing board, you can place the leftover items in a container and they should last until their expiration date.

  • 1 container hummus, flavour of choice, placed in small ramekin
  • 1 container vegan cream cheese spread placed in small ramekin
  • 1 cup pistachios placed in small ramekin
  • 1 handful walnuts, to place in empty spots of your charcuterie board (or can place in a small bowl)
  • 3 blocks vegan cheese of choice, sliced (I used cheddar, provolone, and mozzarella)
  • 4 whole pitas, cut in small triangular slices (I used Toufayan Whole Wheat Pitas)
  • 6 whole mina pitas (I used Toufayan Mini Pitettes)
  • 10 whole everything bagel breadsticks (I used Toufayan Breadsticks)
  • 5 whole mini bagels (I used Toufayan Mini Bagels)

Instructions

  • Start assembling your board by placing all the ramekins down first. I like to place them in a triangular shape on the board so it's even and there is room to put your other ingredients.

  • Next, place your grapes and have them wrap around or go along one of your ramekins.

  • Then, place your cheese, pita breads cut into small triangular pieces, your breadsticks, the mini pitettes, and mini bagels.

  • Place your kiwi halves where there are any empty spaces.

  • Lastly, add some walnuts or dried fruits in any small spaces so your board looks full.

  • Enjoy!

Notes

Note: To store all these ingredients, simply place them back in the bags or containers they were in and keep until each respective best before date.
