Sports Illustrated: Bet Georgia to cover vs Clemson
Reed Wallach writes: "Clemson may make strides on the offensive side of the ball, but this is a tough task in a semi-neutral game in Atlanta against arguably the best defense in the country. The Bulldogs haven’t lost a regular season game since 2020, and I think the team can dominate on Saturday."

Sports Chat Place: Take Georgia to cover against Clemson
It writes: "It may be tough for Clemson’s offense to move the ball here, even with a renewed focus on explosive play from that unit. I think we’ll see some breakthrough moments here and there from the Tigers, but ultimately Georgia should be in control during this opener."
Odds Checker: Go with Georgia to cover in game vs Clemson
Brian Good writes: "My biggest question mark for Clemson comes at the QB position. Cade Klubnik was less than stellar in his first season as a full-time starter last year, and I'm not quite sure how much improvement we'll see. Klubnik struggles when trying to get the ball downfield and it shows in his 6.3 yards per attempt. Klubnik also threw for over 300 yards just two times in 2023. That is a recipe for disaster against what will once again be a stellar Georgia defense. Sure, the days of Nakobe Dean, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis are gone, but it's a similarly talented group on that side of the ball for Kirby Smart. I don't see Clemson coming out of this one with more than 17 points and I think Carson Beck and the Dawgs have at least 35 in them. This game is a matchup nightmare for Clemson so I'm taking Georgia despite the spread being almost two TDs."
SEC football championship odds 2024:Georgia, Texas favored to win conference
Sporting News: Georgia 27, Clemson 17
Bill Bender writes: "That's a huge spread considering the Bulldogs beat the Tigers 10-3 in their last meeting on Sept. 4, 2021. Georgia could easily blow this game open if Carson Beck is comfortable early, and Clemson did lose its opener 28-7 last season. This line has dropped a half-point at a few books, which seems to indicate Clemson could hang around into the second half. This game is more of a referendum on Dabo Swinney than Kirby Smart, and it should play out that way."
