MARK N. ISAACS, M.D.MARK N. ISAACS, M.D.
Dr. Mark Isaacs received his medical training at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at an affiliated hospital of the University of Minnesota, has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1979 and is a Fellow of the American College of Phlebology and the American Academy of Family Practice. He is on the hospital staff of John Muir Medical Center and is a member in good standing of both the California Medical Association and the California Academy of Family Physicians. He has been a clinical faculty member at U.C.S.F. and the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Isaacs has specialized in the treatment of vein disease since 1990. He has served on the faculty of the American College of Phlebology and the Union Internationale de Phlebologie. As an early proponent of the use of duplex ultrasound to guide the treatment of varicose veins, Dr. Isaacs was asked to join in the original FDA trial study of endovenous laser, a method of treatment that has now become the gold standard for non-surgical treatment of large varicose veins. Dr. Isaacs is very enthusiastic about the effectiveness of sclerotherapy and other non-surgical modalities for the entire spectrum of vein disease. It is very rare that a physician has the opportunity to use a treatment that gives both prompt relief of symptoms and cosmetic improvement. The impact on a patients self-image and daily functioning can be incredibly positive.

AMBER, Office AdministratorAMBER, Office Administrator
In 1993 I graduated from Southwest Florida College of Business with a diploma in Medical Records/ Coding. I started my career at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida as a Financial Counselor. I then accepted a position as a Business Service Representative for the Trauma Department which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, in 1996 I relocated to California to be closer to family. I joined Dr. Isaacs' office in October, 1996 as an Administrative Assistant. In 1997 I was offered and accepted the position of Office Administrator. It's great working for a physician who truly loves helping his patients achieve a better quality of life. Our office works together as a team to provide our patients the best care possible.

MICKY, Medical Administrative AssistantMICKY, Medical / Administrative Assistant
I have lived in the East Bay my entire life and graduated from Med Help Training School with a diploma in Medical and Administrative Assisting in 1993. For six years I worked in a large medical practice as a Medical Assistant and Medical Records Supervisor before coming to work for Dr. Isaacs in 1999. It is wonderful to be working for a doctor with such integrity and who is so knowledgeable in his field and caring of his patients. Our staff is like a close knit family. I think our patients benefit from this as well.

ANNETTE, Medical Administrative AssistantANNETTE, Medical /Administrative Assistant
My specialty has always been in pediatrics until I was given an opportunity to change my direction to sclerotherapy. Ive been working with Dr. Isaacs since 2002 and I enjoy learning everything there is about veins. It has been both exciting and rewarding to see the many positive changes a person goes through with this life changing treatment. I love to be able to assist in both the front and back office. This experience has given me the knowledge I need to provide outstanding care to our clients.

NANCY, Licensed Vocational NurseNANCY, Licensed Vocational Nurse
I started my nursing career over 30 years ago in Washington D.C. I specialized in many different settings ranging from psychiatric, pediatrics and surgery. I retired after 32 years of services from the Naval Hospital in Oakland. With my vast knowledge, I decided to specialize in sclerotherapy. Ive been working for Dr. Isaacs since 2003. I enjoy the office setting and the interaction with our clients. This has been a wonderful experience and I enjoy learning about the new technology that's available for vein treatment.
